In The Third National Festival of Fine Carpets of Iran held on the Sunday, the 27th of January, 2025 in Isfahan Professor Ali Asghar Shirsepehr was present alongside the organizing team as a consultant, especially in the poster design section.

During an interview with him, the following points were stated regarding the significance of design and painting in handwoven carpets, as well as the importance of holding such events, which are as follows: Regarding carpet design, particularly the traditional Isfahan school of design – of which we are all students of – considering that throughout the long history of this land, this art has been passed down , from generation to generation, until it has reached us, it is our duty to safeguard this valuable national art, which reflects our customs, traditions, culture, and way of life.

We have dedicated our entire lives to first learning from that original source and from our ethical and accomplished masters, such as Haj Agha Reza Shakeri, Mr. Archang, and Mr. Bahadori, and then to strive and make every effort in preserving it and also passing it on to the future generation.

towards the end he stated that "Based on holding such festivals, in addition to showcasing our art and culture, it can also be important for creating new markets and boosting business. If these exquisite carpets remain in homes and are not seen in such settings, they cannot attain their true value. Just as in the past century, during the peak of Iranian art, due to the exhibitions of our national arts held in Europe and America, this art was introduced to the world, and we are still benefiting well from those activities. Now too, if these exhibitions are more frequent, the world will certainly become better acquainted with authentic Iranian art, and we can proudly display our assets to the world.
