Tooraj Farahmand was born in Iran with a great passion for the traditional Persian arts. He graduated from Tehran Art University in Persian handicraft arts and continues his path exclusively in Persian carpet design.
Farahmand was one of the pioneers in the digital design of Persian rugs and carpets from 1993 to 2002 as he gradually opened his studio. He was also the director of many rug companies and institutes in Iran. Today, he is one of the great masters of Persian rug designing at Tehran Art University, as he has long experience in this field.
He designs in both traditional and modern styles, mainly for machine-made carpets, in any density, and reeds with high accuracy to Persian arts features!
