The design is realistic, displaying a traditional Persian girl in an Achaemenid symbolic interior. The Sphinx motifs in the borders belong to Achaemenid architectures and palaces, the vase has ancient Persian design, and the lilies symbolize life in Persian art. Also, some abstract shapes of flowers are influenced by Persian rustic rug designs.
This elegant Tableau rug is woven on silk warps in a high density. The pile materials are wool and silk, both together to make some motifs glossy. The main size is about 1.25 x 0.8 meters and 1.45 x 1 meters with the frame.
