Iran Carpet Company is almost the oldest company whose primary goal is to develop the Persian carpet industry, especially exports. The idea of establishing this great company came in 1935, when the government considered Persian carpets one of the country's best commercial goods. Since then, this company has been trying to maintain the ancient art of Persian carpet weaving and promote this unique industry in exporting lines. In 1954 the company materialized the idea of producing all essential and needed raw materials for handmade carpets with the highest quality in spinning and dying under the supervision of its experts, so the factory of carpet materials was established in Karaj Iran. In 1989 the company decided to make educational situations for its staff to increase their knowledge of the mysterious Persian carpet industry and upgrade their activities. The company also got the Guinness record of weaving the world's largest carpet with almost 6000 m2 aria in 2001 and has owned a dedicated carpet design unit with skillful artists and designers for more than 40 years. The Iran Carpet Company is still the leader among Persian handmade carpet workshops globally, with the highest knowledge of Persian carpets and long experience in exporting, developing, and protecting the specific styles of Persian rugs all around Iran by having many workshops in each carpet weaving region there.
