Isfahan Haghighi Carpets and Rugs

The history of carpet production in the Haghighi family dates back to 110 years ago, when “Master Mehdi Khan Safdarzade Haghighi” started to learn carpet designing under the supervision of the best designers in Isfahan. Master Mehdi Khan Haghighi was gifted with Persian carpet designing and weaving talent and had high interest and diligence as he started his independent workshop in his own house at an early age. He could get a prominent place in carpet trading as his carpets were all unique and peerless. Lately, his son “Master Feizullah Khan Haghighi” followed his father’s footsteps while he had a strong desire for Persian art, painting, and carpet designing. He started to learn carpet designing as an academic major in Esfahan Fine Arts Conservatory near the most famous artists of Isfahan and Iran like “Master Issa Bahadori.” His study with Master Rostam Shirazi inspired his creative approach to miniature painting as he produced new patterns utilizing traditional and modern painting methods, having a significant impact on the Iranian carpet industry. Now his sons are keeping this treasure of their family alive by maintaining their production rules, including high quality, respecting traditional Persian art design, creativity, and customer orientation. Haghighi’s carpet is placed among the best masterpieces of Persian rugs and carpets worldwide, with the beautiful and fascinating Isfahan style.
