This 3 x 5 feet Persian wool rug is a Baluch rug woven in the Khorasan province in Iran. Baluch rugs belong to a Persian tribe called by the same name, habitat on the eastern border of Iran. Their rugs mainly include dark shades of blue and near red, cream, ivory, and black colors. These abstract patterns tell folk stories from the imaginations of the weavers. This Baluch rug is woven with naturally dyed wool fibers on a wool foundation with cotton wraps.
