This antique handmade carpet is woven in one of the most significant carpet weaving regions in Iran, Tabriz. The design is unique and absorbing, telling the story of the Marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise. This rare rug has a delicate texture and is woven in traditional Persian town carpet workshops with silk and fine wool fibers in an area of about 5.5 meters.

This rug represents the marriage of Napoleon with Marie Louis in its unique way, as it seems that the pattern was customized before. Weavers tried to display an ancient European atmosphere with the architecture and fashion of that time. Colors are in great harmony; all were applied on fibers with natural dyes.

The width of this antique rug is about 1.9 meters, and the height is 2.9 meters, with a soft surface and completely straight and smooth side that show the high quality of the weaving of this handmade rug.
