The Story of Tabriz Rug

Although Tabriz's deep and rich history tells a very long story for the carpet weaving in this city, many experts believe that at the end of the 15th century, Tabriz rug began to reach its perfection point by Safavid master artists and competent courts of kings. The Safavid king had a sensible eye for art and literacy that employed skilled people to learn and get high levels in art and illustrate many precious books. The artists weren't only professionals in painting and illustrating books; they also used their extraordinary, unique abilities to design carpets. The King trained many weavers in exclusive carpet workshops to weave with the best hand-spun fibers in glorious colors that satisfied royal tastes. In the 17th century, many Tabriz carpets were produced to be exported to European countries for majestic palaces with high precision and elegance in designs and structures.
Now, some of the remaining rugs are in the world's largest museums. To name some of the Tabriz rug masterpieces, we can name the Chelsea carpet in the Victoria & Albert Museum and a hunting-style carpet in the Poldi Pezzoli Museum.

How should I clean a stain on my Tabriz silk rug? Should you answer quickly I’d really appreciate it

Cleaning a silk rug is a bit specialized! But to clean a small stain at home, follow these steps: Immediately dry the spot with a white cloth and do it at the back of the spot, then use detergents with low strength like carpet shampoo or soap powder to clean the stain. In the end, use lukewarm water (warm water damages the texture of the silk rug) and a clean white towel to wash it off. For this job, start wiping from the outside towards the center of the spot; this will prevent the stain from spreading.

how do i know if my Tabriz rug contains silk?

Tabriz handmade rugs usually contain silk fibers in their textures, though the measure of silk fibers in Tabriz rugs is less than in Qom rugs. To identify if your carpet is silk woven or not, you must know the features of silk rugs. Silk rugs have a high knot density (usually more than 300 knots per square inch); therefore, they have a very detailed and delicate design and a short pile height. Silk fibers are shiny and thinner than wool and cotton fibers.
